Christian Witness to Israel in Australia has one main goal, to tell the Jewish people the good news about Jesus the Messiah. We are also especially concerned that they should know that genuine Christians love the Jewish people and will not tolerate anti-Semitism. CWI staff are from both Jewish and Gentile backgrounds. Our ministry focuses on Australia but it is also our desire to see Australian Christians sent out to reach Jewish communities worldwide. We value your interest and support.
The light of God's Word is His greatest gift to His people Israel and our desire is that it should shine out to them. If you want to know more about CWI in Australia then keep reading below, or go to the Ministry or Beliefs sections .

Introducing Rev. Stephen and Lana Holmes:
Endorsed CWI Workers for the Melbourne Vision
Stephen was first introduced to CWI back in the early 80s when Rev John Graham, who was then the CWI Field Director based in Sydney, spoke at the Bible College of Queensland where Stephen was a student. Stephen later attended Ridley College, Melbourne and began attending prayer meetings in the home of Rev Rod Scott, the CWI Field Director based in Melbourne, and his wife Chris. They remain close friends to this day.
Stephen and Lana have been married for 26 years and in pastoral ministry with the Anglican Church in Australia and New Zealand for 24 of those years. They have spent the past nine years in the Whittlesea-Kinglake parish which saw much devastation during the Black Saturday Bushfires of February 2009.
They have a passion and commitment to see all people groups come to know Jesus. However, the call on their hearts has always been to Jewish people. During the 1990s they ministered in the parish of Golden Bay, New Zealand. While there they developed a backpacker ministry amongst Israeli backpackers, hosting over 120 young Israelis in their home. From this ministry of hospitality some lasting relationships have developed which are still ongoing today; strengthened by several visits to Israel in the ensuing years (Lana has family there), including a wedding.
